This summer, Ashford residents and visitors can easily reach the beach via a new ‘Beach Bus’ service starting Saturday, 24 May (in time for the half term school holidays). The bus connects Ashford with Dymchurch on the Romney Marsh coast, offering daily services until 1 June, weekends thereafter, and daily again from 23 July to 31 August.

The bus, route 500, will run four times daily between Kennington and Dymchurch, stopping at key locations including County Square, Asda, the Designer Outlet, Ham Street, and New Romney. The final bus from Dymchurch leaves at 18:50. It also serves Ashford Rail Station for easy access from other areas.

Dymchurch's attractions include traditional seaside amusements, fish and chip shops, donkey rides and scenic vintage steam train rides on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway.

Stagecoach offers great-value tickets, with adult day passes costing £6 and discounts for groups and those under nineteen. More information is available on the Stagecoach website.
