24th April 2023

If afternoon tea is your guilty pleasure then you're never far away from a tempting treat. Numerous tearooms and cafes abound throughout the borough offering a welcome break from a busy day, whatever time of the year.

Traditional cream teas and homemade cakes jostle for attention alongside other delicacies, what to choose is part of the fun.

Discover one of our many villages; Chilham, Appledore and Wye are great spots. And Tenterden is bursting at the seams with independent eateries, making memories has never tasted so good!

The Little Teapot, situated in the heart of Ashford town centre. Offering delicious homemade treats and family favourites including High Tea, you can even add a glass of Prosecco to make it extra special!  Close by you'll also find Church View Tearooms, set overlooking St Mary's Church, enjoy lunch with a view!  Williams & Thomas offer a delicious selection of food and pastries to eat in or take away, with a pretty courtyard to dine outside, weather permitting!

Set in the picturesque village of Chilham, The Church Mouse Tearoom offers a beautiful setting for you to enjoy some indulgence. Afternoon tea, freshly baked cakes, warming soup. There's just so much choice!

In Tenterden you'll find Peggotty’s Tea Shoppe, an 18th Century building which first opened it's doors as a tea shop in 1975. A traditional tearoom experience, serving homemade food, freshly ground coffee and loose leaf teas.  Also in Tenterden, you'll find Amy's Pantry and The Latte Lounge, both serving a delicious choice of amazing food.
