About Santa Specials on RH&DR

Meet Father Christmas after a steam train ride from New Romney to Hythe! With festive treats, platform rides & other activities, this is a wonderful experience for all ages!

The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway has been running its popular Santa Specials since 1981. Although a lot has changed in the past 40 years, the core of the experience remains the same.

Santa Special tickets include:

- Train journey from New Romney (TN28 8PL) to Hythe and return.
- A visit to Santa & his elves in his Grotto.
- A magical magician to entertain whilst you wait to meet Santa
- A quality, age related, gift for each child aged 0-17 yrs
- Seasonal refreshments
- A visit to the Model Railway Exhibition at New Romney before your train journey begins.
- Snowy arrival back at New Romney.
