Carnival of the Baubles

If you haven't already, make sure you save the date for Carnival of the Baubles 2026!  🎄🎅

Ashford Town Centre will come alive on Saturday 21 November as Carnival of the Baubles returns for a spectacular day of music, movement, lanterns and family-friendly fun.

One of Ashford’s biggest annual events, the celebration will feature a giant lantern parade, festive markets, live entertainment and activities for all the family throughout the day.

The event is proudly supported by Hallett & Co Solicitors and returning sponsor Ashford Designer Outlet. Their support is helping the celebration grow, enabling more community workshops and bringing people together from across the borough.

This year’s theme, Day of the Dance, celebrates Ashford’s vibrant dance community and the energy, creativity and community spirit it brings. Look out for colourful costumes, lively performances and larger-than-life lantern creations in a joyful showcase of movement and carnival arts.

Leading the parade will be the returning giant disco turtle, guiding a colourful conga line of lanterns, dancers and performers through the heart of the town centre. Clap along, join the fun and soak up the carnival atmosphere.

Carnival of the Baubles is delivered by Emergency Exit Arts in partnership with Made in Ashford. Schools, community groups, local businesses and residents are already creating unique lanterns to illuminate the streets and celebrate creativity from across the borough.

There will be plenty to enjoy before and after the parade, including festive market stalls, live music, pop-up performances and surprises around the town centre. St Mary’s Church will also host its popular Christmas Fayre from 10am to midday.

Bring the family, meet up with friends and enjoy a memorable day of entertainment, creativity and community spirit in a town centre filled with festive excitement.
