Port Lympne Mansion Hotel
Nestled at the heart of one of the UK’s largest wild animal parks – Port Lympne Reserve - is the Port Lympne Hotel. The Mansion was commissioned for Sir Philip Sassoon and designed by the architect Sir Herbert Baker. Built in 1912, the Mansion was Sassoon’s private estate which he created as a holiday retreat for the rich and famous. The estate has been enjoyed and admired over the years by royalty, heads of state and movie stars.
Following a full refurbishment to restore the elegant Mansion to its former glory, this unique boutique hotel has eight lavishly decorated bedrooms, four intriguing reception rooms and 15 acres of perfectly landscaped gardens, set against a stunning backdrop of far reaching, romantic and inspiring views over the reserve to the coast line beyond.
The manicured gardens offer a wonderful backdrop for memorable photographs with glittering fountains cascading into ornamental ponds, colourful borders planted with vivid blooms, dramatic walkways and of course, the magnificent Trojan Steps – decorated with mystical Egyptian friezes. As dusk falls, twinkling and subtle lighting illuminates the Mansion and gardens, creating a magical atmosphere.
Conferencing & Events –
The stylish and dramatically decorated rooms offer versatile seating options, Wi-Fi and conference equipment, and the site has ample free parking.
The 15 acres of Italianate landscaped gardens surrounding the Grade II listed mansion are the perfect setting for product launches, corporate fun days or just a stunning environment for blue sky thinking.
