Knowledgeable, friendly and full of ideas, our tourist information staff are itching to help you to enjoy a great stay.
Few people know Ashford, Tenterden and surrounding, charming countryside and villages as well as Ashford's visitor information staff. They're unfailingly helpful; whether you phone to pick their brains in advance, or drop by once you've arrived.
The Visitor Information Service, in the Ashford Gateway Plus, is stacked-deep with brochures, local souvenirs, and walking and cycling maps and books. Staff can also advise on events and make bookings, ranging from accommodation and National Express and Eurolines services, to day trips and tickets for local theatres - top seats at the Folkestone's Leas Cliff Hall are just a phone call away.
Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances the Visitor Information is currently closed on Saturdays.
The Tenterden Town Hall in the High Street is home to more tourist information - this time in the form of racks of brochures, where to stay and what's on information. Self-help computer terminals are also available and provide a wealth of information on the area. The Kent & East Sussex Railway also stocks plenty of leaflets, while the pages of the Tenterden Town website offers more information.
The Ashford & Tenterden Tourism Association is another great on-line resource.
