Eater Fun and Frolics at the Rare Breeds Centre
19th April - 22nd April 2019
Easter is just around the corner and here at The Rare Breeds Centre we are preparing for our usual Easter fun and frolics.
During the Easter week end our friendly, fluffy Easter bunny will be here to say ‘hello’ and help you find the clues for the choccy bunny hunt and when you have finished she will reward you with a special Easter chocolate.
This is great fun for grownups too! And you can join the Easter Bunny for some fun activities in the Main Arena at 11.30 am and 1.30 pm. Also during the Easter weekend Wiley Wolf productions will be here again performing ‘The Three Little Piggy’s’ our Easter panto’, in the big barn next to soft play. Poor little pigs, will they escape the big bad wolf? Come along and find out. Performances are at 12 noon and 2 pm.
Would you like to wash a pig, they love it, everyone gets very wet and has great fun. Washing times are at 11 am and 1 pm. Don’t forget to bring suitable clothing. This is supervised by our staff but parents must be there too and are welcome to join in. (Easter Weekend only).
There will also be a face painter here and for a small extra charge you too could be an Easter Bunny, beautiful butterfly or a little piggy! (Easter weekend only). We start our lambing season at the beginning of April, before the Easter weekend, so pop along and see all our cute babies and their mum’s in The Lambing Tunnel. You may be there to see a lamb being born and be lucky enough to feed a ‘sock’ lamb( although we cannot guarantee this); there will be more Spring babies to meet in our Meet the Animals sessions in The Children’s Barn (10.30 am – 4 pm) and around the farm too.
Easter school holidays see the start of our famous Pig Racing which takes place every day at 3.15 pm on the main paddock….. it’s hilarious and you may be picked to run with the cheeky pigs.
There’s so much more to do, including the Creepy Crawly Room, walk through aviary, Falconry displays at 2.30pm, trailer rides from 10.30 am – 4 pm and exciting outdoor and indoor play areas.
Take a walk through our beautiful woodland and see if you can spot the wonderful wildlife up to the Secret Lake and meet the Giant Snake, our new attraction or test your skills in The Mysterious Marsh Assault Course.
Why not bring a picnic or you can eat yummy food at very reasonable prices in The Granary restaurant and other catering outlets on the farm.
