Kent County Royal British Legion invite you to join the HD Concert Band to mark the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. 80 years ago the Normandy Landings or Operation Overlord became the largest seaborne invasion in history. The operation began the liberation of France and the rest of Western Europe, laying the foundations for the Allied victory on the Western Front. The Band will lead us through the story of D-Day with pieces of music to reflect the key moments in the day including Arromanches and Mulberry Harbours and our Allies, alongside some more reflective pieces.
The evening will finish with a celebration of all that is British with a proms style finale.
