The King's Head, Wye
Please note that the King's Head is now offering a pre-order takeaway service for both the restaurant and Kingshed Pizza. Please visit their website or call for further information.
In the centre of the historic village of Wye you'll find The King's Head, a friendly inn with a great mix of locals and visitors.
With rolling hills, quaint houses and historic buildings, Wye is situated in the stunning Wye Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
At the front of the venue there's a warm welcome at the bar; a place to meet friends and relax any time of the day. Local ales feature on the hand pump. Over 40 quality wines are available by bottle (half of them the glass) in red, white and rose, with two good Champagnes and English sparkling wines from local producer Gusbourne by the glass also.
Past the open plan bar is the restaurant, with contemporary rustic finishes, photographs of the local area, daily papers and classic hits playing in the background. The menu changes up to six times a year in line with seasonal availability and daily specials bringing things right up-to-the-minute. The award-winning kitchen uses only the best local and seasonal produce to prepare the entire menu in-house. Favourite customer dishes include the fish stew and Romney Marsh rack of lamb.
Our bedrooms attract visitors from near and far. Business travellers come from all parts of the UK, and those on their travels or holidays arrive from France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and more.
Only a short drive from the Eurostar and Dover crossings, Wye also has its own rail station with access to London in less than an hour.
