Create Platform: Two Tone The Fish

14 Jul 2017 - 23 Jul 2017

Create Platform is a new week-long programme of arts events from the organisers of the Create Music Festival. From 14th-23rd July 2017, we will be introducing new creative activities around the borough for a range of ages to experience and enjoy.

‘Two Tone’ a Mirror Carp, thought to be one of the UK’s biggest freshwater fish, lived in Conningbrook Lakes for around 45 years. Weighing in at 67lb 14oz and named after his mistakable colour, many tried and failed to catch this wily fish.

Two Tone the Fish is a collection of community projects that encourage as many community members and age ranges to get involved in celebrating the life of two tone through knitting, colouring and decorating fish. These projects will develop into a unique trail around town, a major shop window display, and a community theatre performance celebrating Ashford life.
